finding the narrative through design.

My name is Tomomi Tsukioka, a designer and marketing professional living in San Francisco. I have a unique mixture of background including Professional Bachelor Degree in Architecture and Masters of Fine Art in Photography.

During my undergraduate program at the Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago, I took two semesters to implement an affordable water filtration system in Nicaragua and Peru.  I quickly learned the importance of visual storytelling, especially at a place where illiteracy and the lack of clean water education were a key factor.

After finishing my architectural studies, I moved on to study architectural photography at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco.  There, I found my passion to find balance and tranquility in the built environment.

Now, by combining my skills, I aspire to create designs and storytelling that are simple in form yet bestow a lasting meaning.
